Dr. Jan V. Karlin received his undergraduate degree at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was a John Harvard Scholarship Recipient. He graduated from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina and did his surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Cedars-Sinai in Los, Angeles, California. Dr. Karlin was the Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery and Instructor from 1977 to 1978.

Dr. Karlin is the founder of Vein Centers of America and has been practicing phlebology for close to 20 years. He is considered a leader in the field of vein therapy and attends many conferences during the year that provide information on new and advanced techniques for treating vein patients. He does this to make sure that his patients are provided with the most up to date techniques and technologies. He is an active member of several Phlebology Societies including; North America Society of Phlebology, Phlebology Society of America, Canadian Society of Phlebology as well as other societies such as Florida Medical Association, American Medical Associates, Laser Institute of America, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and many more. He has authored many articles in respected journals and has made many television and radio appearances including CNN, KPLA, Eye On LA and KMAX.

Besides being Medical Director of Vein Centers of America he is also Medical Director of Nova Cosmetic Center Med Spa. Dr. Karlin is also a renowned plastic surgeon and has spent most of career as a Plastic Surgeon and Phlebology Specialist in Beverly Hills and Palm Springs, California. He was known to his patients in Palm Springs as “the best surgeon” to perform facial, breast and liposuction surgeries. He is also skilled at performing a variety of other plastic and cosmetic surgeries such as Contour Threads, S-Lifts, Eyelid Surgery, Rhinoplasty and Tummy Tucks. The Medical Spa offer such services as Laser Hair Removal, Mesotherapy, Thermage, Botox, Collagen, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculpture, Microdermabrasion, Skin Rejuvenation, No Needle Mesotherapy and Endermologie.
